2011 Winners

The winning teams were announced by Sir Andrew Likierman, Dean of London Business School, following the Boot Camp final on 20-21 April 2011.

  • First place and winners of the £5,000 prize: Black Silicon Solar Cells, from Technical University of Denmark/Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden, for their low-cost process to improve solar cell efficiency using nanostructures.

  • Second place: enBreeze, from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology & Technical University Munich, for their business producing small wind turbines for low wind speeds.

  • Third place: Cluttr, from University of Ghent, for their intelligent power management solution for virtualised data centres.
