Overseeing the overall management of CTC and the development of the executive team.


Nicolas Blanchet

MBA student at LBS. BSc in Mechanical Engineering and BA in International Studies from UPenn. Born in Mexico, but spent most of my life abroad in the U.S. and Asia. Formerly a banker for Citigroup. Interested in seed stage investments in cleantech start-ups and energy market innovation.


Dina Subkhankulova

PhD student at the Energy Institue, UCL. Originally Russian who spent half of her life in UK. Former Duvas Technologies and Credit Suisse. Interests include DSM, green finance, machine learning, optimisation and energy.

Marketing and Digital team

Creating and promoting digital marketing materials – including the CTC website – to engage students with entrepreneurial cleantech goals, while elevating CTC’s brand amongst graduate programmes globally.


Chris van Dronkelaar

Doctoral researcher at UCL IEDE, working with BuroHappold Engineering an international multidisciplinary engineering consultancy in the built environment. Dutch native.


Sangmi Je

MBA student at LBS. BSc/MEng in Operations Research and Industrial Engineering from Cornell University. Formerly a strategy consultant for Strategy& and a corporate strategist in Hanwha Group, especially focusing on developing solar business as a new growth engine. Interested in financing cleantech start-ups and commercialization of innovative cleantech solutions.

Planning all the key CTC events throughout the year.


Jiawei Li

I am a third year PhD student at UCL, rearching into the epigenetic influence from parents to children. Although my research is biomedical, I also have a keen interest in bioinformatics and would like to know how informational technology can be integrated with medicine. I am a strong believer that the technology of the future should be clean and sustainable, whenever possible.


Alex Gaastra

MBA Student at LBS. Eight years as an electrical engineer for BP in projects and operations. Interested in the opportunities created by the changing energy mix and new technology.

Strengthening current relationships and seeking new sponsorship opportunities.


Veronica Tan

Veronica is a first year MBA candidate at London Business School, with five years of work experience in finance, asset management and private equity. Prior to LBS, she was on the US residential mortgage acquisitions and asset management team at Hudson Advisors in New York City for Lone Star Funds with AUM of $65 billion. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics with a focus in Statistics from Carleton College (Northfield, Minnesota).


Moira Nicolson

Final year PhD student at UCL. Working on electricity demand-side response with energy startups. Raised in Portugal then Norfolk then London. Interested in electric and autonomous vehicles, block-chain and open science.

Development team
Connecting with leading universities locally and globally, and encouraging the growth of the CTC in emerging countries.


Andy Moore

Visiting masters student in the modelling group at the Energy Institute at UCL. Previously MSci in Physics, now studying towards a European Master in Renewable Energy with a specialisation in Wind Energy. Interested in decarbonisation of the energy sector and energy in development contexts.


Amir Pintow

Amir Pintow is an MBA student at London Business School and holds a dual degree of Laws and Economics. For the past 5 years Amir has been legally consulting renewable energy companies and start-ups in the clean tech space. Prior to consulting, Amir directed unmanned aerial vehicle (drones) operation courses. Interests include: Clean tech start-ups, solar fields development and M&A transactions, the aerospace industry and – of course – the Clean Tech Challenge.

Operations team

Making sure everything runs smoothly, overseeing event planning, logistics, coordination and setup.


Iral Onetto Vulliety

Iral Onetto Vulliety was born in Chile, and grew up in Argentina, where he graduated as an Economist. Before coming to LBS, he has been working as a Project Manager for a Chilean family office which is present in the oil and gas, mining, manufacturing and agricultural sectors.


Monika Jurcic

PhD in Chemistry at UCL, also part of the Jill Dando Institute. Previous work experience has been in the defence sector. Interested in consulting, clean tech start-ups and the Great British Bake-off.
